Romeoville has been awarded the Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting by the Government Finance Officers Association of the United States and Canada for its comprehensive annual financial report for the fiscal year ended 2016. The Romeoville annual report was judged by an impartial panel to meet the high standards of the program, which includes demonstrating a constructive “spirit of full disclosure” to fully communicate its financial story.
“In Romeoville, we pride ourselves in doing the best work possible and are honored that the Government Finance Officers Association has recognized our finance department for their work on this report,” said Mayor Noak.
The Certificate of Achievement is the highest form of recognition in governmental accounting and financial reporting and its attainment represents a significant accomplishment by a government and its management.
