Only six weeks after their first bottled beer was released, Metal Monkey Brewing will be releasing their second bottle at their one year anniversary party on Saturday, January 28, 2017 at the Romeoville location.

The second bottled beer to be released is Simian Pandemic, Metal Monkey’s Imperial Hibiscus Wheat aged in Red Wine Barrels. Very limited quantities will be available, only 300 compared to 1,000 of the first bottled beer Asmodeus back in December 2016.  “Our first year has been fantastic, a lot of hard work but all the great feedback makes it worthwhile,” said Brandi Camp, owner. “The atmosphere in the taproom is fun, laid back and friendly. We are thrilled that customers enjoy themselves whether they come alone or with a group,” Camp added.  Metal Monkey opened at 515 Anderson Drive in January 2016. The anniversary festivities will begin at Noon through 11:00 p.m. Special beer tappings throughout the day will include: Red Wine Barrel Aged Simian Pandemic; Bourbon Barrel Aged Barleywine and Bourbon Barrel Aged Asmodeus.

“I can’t say enough about Metal Monkey’s initiative and success. It is quite an accomplishment to release their first two bottled beers in the first year of business.  They have been innovative to ensure their business continues to grow and be successful.  We are fortunate to have them as part of our community,” said Mayor John Noak.

As Metal Monkey is not a restaurant and does not offer food, they are still accommodating their customers by having two food trucks out for the anniversary celebration, The Chicago Pizza Boss and The Roaming Hog. Closing the celebration will be live music from Chicago's Alice in Chains Tribute and NOLA // Chicago's Tribute to DOWN.
