[ARCHIVED] Romeoville Tumbleweeds Gymnastics Successfully Compete In New Division!

ROMEOVILLE, IL — The Romeoville Tumbleweeds Gymnastics Team competed in their first Gymnastics of Illinois Junior Organization (GIJO) meet since changing divisions in June 2016. 37 girls represented the Tumbleweeds at the Fox Valley Winter Whiteout Meet on Saturday, December 17th hosted by the Fox Valley Park District Eola Community Center at 555 S. Eola Rd., Aurora, IL. Levels 2, 3, 4, and 5 all took 2nd place for their respective levels and level 6 took 4th place. “Our team is very competitive in this new division; all the girls did an amazing job. It was a great meet!” stated Marissa Cardoni, Program Supervisor. “The coaches are all extremely proud of each and every gymnast. We are excited to continue our journey AAU (with Amateur Athletic Union of the United States, Inc.) & GIJO and can’t wait for the next meet,” stated Cardoni. The Tumbleweeds will be competing in upcoming meets located in Gurnee (IL), Wisconsin Dells (WI), and Itasca (IL).
