[ARCHIVED] August 19 Storm Updates

Storm branches

Please see below for updates regarding the August 19 storm.

7:42 PM
Romeo Road is closed in both directions at Homer near the ComEd Right of way.

There are still many downed power wires and downed trees. Crews are handling the most dangerous ones first and getting roads cleared. They are working as fast as they can.

Public Works crews will be out with chipper to dispose of any downed tree branches that home owners have. Please bring branches to the curb, but do not block street or sidewalk. The chipper will be out for the next few days doing cleanup.

Please be advised more rain coming. If anyone needs a shelter due to the power outages, please go to the Romeoville Police Station at 1050 w Romeo Road.
