At the March 1st Village Board Meeting, the final development plan was approved for Townplace Suites at 1280 Windham Parkway.
The Townplace Suites hotel will go on the vacant lot at the intersection of Weber Road and Windham Parkway, inside the Windham Lakes Business Park. The four-story building will have 103 rooms along with a pool, fitness center, and large lobby. The exterior will include stonework, which will match the monument sign. The project should be complete by November of 2024.
“This new hotel will be especially helpful as Romeoville continues to host big events at the Athletic & Event Center,” said Mayor John Noak. “Whether it’s a tournament for basketball, a dog show, or some of the other things happening in the building, we are attracting families from outside the area that need places to stay.”
While Townplace Suites is preparing for construction, U-Haul (Weber & Gaskin), Cilantro (135th & Weber), and Jimmy John’s (Rt. 53 & Rock) are all nearing the finish line. Jimmy John’s and Cilantro should be open by spring while the U-Haul expansion should be ready go to by second quarter of this year. More development plans should be announced this spring.
