Kyle Dodge from Fyzical Therapy and Balance Centers in Lockport will present the importance of balance and fall prevention.  Learn the basics of balance, some tips to reduce your overall risk of fall, and to identify your personal level of fall risk. Following the 30 minute talk is a 30 minute balance class. Come ready to participate and move! You will be guided through simple and reproducible stretching and balance activities aimed to improve strength and reduce fall risks. Spring wildflowers are here! Come out to O’Hara Woods Preserve to see what is blooming. O’Hara Woods is known for its blanket of bluebells, but we’ll also search for mayapple, toothwort, Jack-in-the-pulpit and more. Learn some tips and tricks to ID different flowers. Please wear closed-toe shoes and long pants. Parking is available on Grand Boulevard off Romeo Road in Romeoville. Meet-up directions will be sent to participants upon registration.Be prepared to hike 2 miles over uneven natural terrain and trails. We plan to continue removing brush from the woodland edge to open the view and improve conditions for our native plants. We would love to see you out there! No prior experience is required. We plan to continue removing brush from the woodland edge to open the view and improve conditions for our native plants. We would love to see you out there! No prior experience is required. The address to O'Hara Woods is 524 Belmont Dr., Romeoville, and we will be meeting in the parking lot off of Beverly J Griffin Dr. (to the southwest of Lake Strini). If you plan to attend, please bring a water bottle, a pair of work gloves (we will have extra), and dress for the weather. Loppers and all other equipment will be provided.
