The latest renovated park in Romeoville had its ribbon cutting on Tuesday. Rotary Park (2023 Whitmore Drive) now sports new playground equipment, a shelter, trail system, and other improved site furnishings. The project was a joint effort between the Village of Romeoville and the Plainfield Park District.
“As time passes, it is important to give our parks a refresh,” stated Mayor Noak. “This keeps the amenities safe, accessible, and current.”
Rotary Park is one of 31 parks currently overseen and maintained by the Romeoville Parks and Recreation Department. Construction is currently underway on a major renovation of Conservation Park and a brand new park, Pine Trail Park (774 Pine Trail), should open this fall.
