On 8/23 and 8/24, southbound Route 53 will have one lane closed from Mckool to Murphy for tree removal. Closures will take place between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. each day. 

Crews will be removing trees that are under the power lines between Route 53 and Spangler Road and replacing them with landscaping that will not grow into the lines. This will be similar to the area between Belmont to Normantown.
