In an effort to control the European Gypsy Moth, an invasive species that deleafs and kills trees, Btk will be sprayed on the trees east of New Avenue by low flying airplanes in the month of May. There will be two applications about seven days apart.
Btk is not toxic to people or animals, just caterpillars. For more information please contact the Illinois Department of Agriculture at 815-787-5476.
