The newest restaurant on Romeoville’s portion of Rte 53 celebrated their official ribbon cutting on Mon., 10/22.  Checkers, located at 651 N. Independence Blvd. (next to Jiffy Lube), is known for their burgers, fries, and milkshakes and is primarily a drive-thru restaurant. If you want to eat there, a few outdoor tables are available. 

“We are pleased to have another national chain join the Route 53 Corridor in Romeoville. Each addition helps demonstrate the growing demand for even more diverse businesses to locate here as well,” said Mayor John Noak.
