Mayor John Noak presented a plaque to the family of Len Zarek, in recognition of his service and dedication to the community. Len was a Romeoville resident since 1961. He founded the Romeoville Junior Fire Department, and was a member of the Romeoville volunteer Fire Department as well as the Romeoville Emergency services. Len also volunteered for several organizations including the American Cancer Society and Boy Scouts.
“Len was a dedicated individual who volunteered much of his time to many organizations. It was an honor to be able to present his family with a plaque for his commitment to Romeoville. He will be deeply missed,” said Mayor John Noak.
