O'Hara Woods

Come out for a free family day that includes:


•  Restoration Workday – Help us cut invasive brush out of the woods to open the view and let more sunlight in for our native plants. No experience necessary, tools, gloves, eye protection and instruction will be provided.

•  Nature Rx Activities – Learn about how being in nature improves your health. Guided walks through O’Hara Woods Nature Preserve will leave the pavilion at 9:30, 10:30 and 11:30 a.m.

•  Conservation at Home – Learn how to create a functional landscape through the Conservation@Home program offerings – information on fall yard care, planting natives and creating wildlife habitat in your yard will be available. A rain barrel will be raffled off at 11:30 a.m.

•  Water Resources – Do you know what watershed you live in? Come learn about your where water goes when it rains through games and family activities for all ages.


All activities are outdoor!  Dress for the weather.
