Park Maintenance – Seasonal Part-Time

Award winning Recreation Department seeks detail minded, energetic individuals. The Village of Romeoville Parks and Recreation Department is hiring seasonal staff for the upcoming 2019 season. Responsibilities will include: Ball field preparation, string trimming, playground repair and various park maintenance tasks.  Employees are required to work Romeofest, August 1st thru August 4th 2019. Employment will be from April thru October, 35-40 hrs per week. Must be able to work some evenings and weekends. Applicant must have a valid driver’s license. Ninja/Gymnastics Coach

The Romeoville Recreation Department is seeking a highly motivated, energetic, fitness enthusiast to help implement and instruct a new ninja program in the gymnastics department. Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to: assist with the instruction, coaching, and evaluation of participants; daily instruction and spotting; assist with preparation and set-up of ninja obstacles; assist with preparation of lesson plans; maintain accurate records; and follow all safety policies and procedures. The ideal candidate will use their creativity to create new obstacles and help grow the program. Hours are available for evenings and weekends. Les Mills Fitness Instructors
The Romeoville Recreation Department is looking for Les Mills Instructors for the new year! If you, or someone you know, has the Les Mills license or is interested in being trained, please contact us. Day Camp Counselors

The Village of Romeoville is seeking Day Camp Counselors for Summer 2019! The ideal candidate is responsible, fun, energetic, level-headed and has a joy working with children. In this position, staff are responsible of planning and leading children aged 5-14 through a variety of daily activities from sports, group games, singing, arts n’ crafts, swimming, and field trips. Before & After School Care Positions

The Romeoville Recreation Department is seeking caring and responsible Before and After School Instructors. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: supervising school aged children kindergarten to 5th grade, plan and implement program activities, adhere to the safety guidelines of the program, and must demonstrate a positive and professional attitude. Youth Program (kids craft corner, art, photography, calligraphy, painting, STEAM, fishing, etc.) Instructors

The Romeoville Recreation Department is seeking a multitalented Youth Program Instructor. The Youth Program Instructor will be responsible for planning and instructing a diverse set of youth general interest programs. Topics of instruction can include arts and crafts, drawing, painting, photography, calligraphy, STEM, fishing, and more! Individuals must have the ability to adapt to the needs of different age groups and have experience working with children in an enrichment setting. Applicants should possess a fun, creative, and outgoing personality with the ability to inspire creativity and confidence. Gymnastics Instructors

The Romeoville Recreation Department is currently seeking experienced, highly motivated, energetic, and responsible gymnastics instructors. Ability to effectively communicate with participants, parents, and staff is crucial. Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to: assist with the instruction, coaching, and evaluation of participants; daily instruction and spotting; work individually with participants to help them progress; assist with preparation and set-up of gymnastics equipment; assist with preparation of lesson plans; maintain accurate records; and follow all safety policies and procedures.
