Isle a la Cache Museum presents "Discovery Isle"

Join us every Wednesday of the month for different activities that focus on natural or cultural history. In July, we’ll explore the wonderful world of water, a bounty of birds, and the high-energy sport of lacrosse. The possibilities and fun are as great as your ability to discover. Depending on topic and weather, programs may be held indoors or outside. Drop in anytime – it’s an open house format. No registration is required for this program.

White Oak Library's Rummage Sale - Giving Back to the Community
Friday, July 20 and Saturday, July 21, 2018, 10:00 a.m. to  2:00 p.m.

A rummage sales purpose is to sell miscellaneous secondhand items to help raise money for a charity or special event. White Oak Library rummage sale will raise funds to help us give back within our own community. All items will be donated by the community and resold at reasonable prices to the community. All proceeds from the rummage sale will be donated back within the community (designated agencies). Any items not sold will be donated to agencies that help the less-advantaged. We will be accepting donated items (clothing, electronics, books, etc.) from anyone that wishes to donate them and storing them until the rummage sale event. A few days before the rummage sale event takes place, we will take all donated items and reasonably price them. All proceeds from the rummage sale will be donated back into the community. Registration for Lewis University’s R.A.D. Camp for ages 5-12
Monday, July 23, 2018, 8:00 to 9:00 a.m.
Registration will be held in the Student Recreation and Fitness Center located on the university’s main campus at 1 University Pkwy.
Camp week is:  July 23-27 from 9 a.m. to Noon daily

R.A.D. Camp is facilitated by the staff of the Student Recreation & Fitness Center., as well as students from the Lewis Community. The staff is selected by their knowledge of camp activities, capacity to work well with children and their ability to be positive role models.Some of the features of RAD Camp include quality instruction, a fun learning environment, an ice cream social celebration and daily pool time. Common camp activities include sand sand volleyball, basketball, soccer, flag football and kickball. Campers should come prepared with a tennis racquet, sunscreen, insect repellent, labeled water bottle, gym shoes, hat, swimsuit, towel and lock each day. $80 per kid. White Oak Library presents "Dating Over 50: Have Fun - Be Safe"

Join us on the last Friday of every month for a fun-filled night. Dating at any age can be daunting, but even more so for those of us over 50. We will share tips on dating, dating apps, and safety tips while enjoying a glass of wine (or coffee) and conversation. Maybe you'll meet your next date at our event! Free! Ages 13 or older. Have you always wanted to know about birds and bird watching but did not know where to start? Join a naturalist for this program to find out the basics of bird watching. Learn some basic techniques to help you find birds and identify what you find using field guides, binoculars and a spotting scope. Romeoville Area Chamber of Commerce Annual Golf Outing
Monday, July 30, 2018, 11:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
Mistwood Golf Course, 1700 W. Renwick Rd.

It’s time for the Chamber’s golf outing! Register your foursome, as an individual, or skip the golf all together and join us for dinner. Things kick off at 11 a.m. with lunch and registration, continue on with a 12:30 p.m. shotgun start, and then conclude with a 6 p.m. BBQ dinner. Your ticket includes lunch and dinner, 18 holes of golf with a cart, range balls, and on-course contests.
