The switch to the new pavement on Weber Road is scheduled for the week of December 21, (weather permitting). It could take two days to move all traffic onto the new pavement.
It is anticipated southbound traffic will be moved onto the new pavement on the first day. Eastbound traffic on 135th Street and on North Carillon Drive need to be alert and stop at the new stop bar locations. This is extremely important as southbound traffic on Weber Road will be moved closer to the stop bars at these intersections. This will also create a split of northbound and southbound traffic lanes with a wide median at intersections. Barricades will close off lanes no longer used. Please do not cross over double yellow lines to get around barricades.
Overnight or on the second day, northbound traffic will be moved to the new pavement. During this time, motorists need to use extreme caution at intersections to observe traffic control devices guiding traffic to the newly opened lanes on Weber Road.
Lanes will remain in the current locations on 135th Street, North Carillon Drive, and Grand Boulevard. Motorists are urged to use caution and be patient while traffic is switched throughout the entire Weber Road construction corridor.
