Lockport Township Park District Halloween Hayride, Picnic & Concert with Mary Pfeifer 
Friday, October 14, 2022, 11:30 a.m. - 1:30 p.m.
Celebrate autumn with a hayride, picnic & concert in Dellwood Park, 199 E. Woods Dr., Lockport. Upon arrival, you will be given a hayride around Dellwood Park. Enjoy a boxed lunch under the cover of our new picnic pavilion and s’mores for dessert. Listen to a one hour concert by Mary Pfeifer. Costumes are not required but encouraged. Costume contestants win a special prize. Park in the parking lot between Challenge Fitness & Dellwood Park Community Center. FEE: $20/per person. Register at

Lockport Township Park District Hayride of Horror/Curse of the Bayou 
Ride the Hayride of Horror through the heart of Dellwood Park,  199 E. Woods Dr, Lockport. Eerie movies will air on the outdoor movie screen while you await your Hayride of Horror, and a bonfire will keep you warm. Food and drinks are available for purchase. Sponsored by Citgo. Multiple dates available: 10/14, 10/15, 10/21, 10/22, 10/28, 10/29 all at 7:00 p.m. For more information and to purchase tickets, visit Tickets start at $15.00.

Romeoville’s Halloween Fest
Friday, October 21, 2022, 4:30 – 7:30 p.m.
Deer Crossing Park, 1050 W. Romeo Rd.
Join the Village of Romeoville and the Romeoville Area Chamber of Commerce for Halloween Fest. This spooktacular night offers FREE spine-tingling activities, including a Trick-or-Treat Trail, children’s entertainment, a costume contest, and more!  The first 400 children will receive a small pumpkin. Event is held outside, dress for the weather.  

Annual Trunk or Treat – Hosted by St. Andrew the Apostle

Free event, rain or shine. Trick or Treat alley, games & ice cream. Costume contests and best trunk. TaCanijo Taco truck onsite, cash only.

HalloSCENE - Scene75’s Free Indoor Trick-Or-Treat
Thursday, October 27, 2022, 5:00 - 8:00 p.m.
Scene75, 460 S. Weber Rd.
Calling all ghosts, goblins, princes and fairies! Check out Scene75’s FREE indoor trick or treat event! A night full of treats and no scaries! Located throughout our facility there will be multiple stations welcoming costumed children 12 & under to say “trick-or-treat” in exchange for a handful of candy and the occasional toy! Bring your costume & a candy bag!

White Oak Library’s Halloween Haunted House & Trunk or Treat

Visit our Halloween Haunted House and “trunk or treat” for a frightfully good time. Come show off your costumes, play games, make crafts and grab some treats.  This event is for ALL AGES.  No sign-up required.

Romeoville High School Trunk or Treat
Sunday, October 30, 2022, 12:00  –  2:00 p.m.
Romeoville High School, 100 N. Independence Blvd., Parking lot near door 11. 
Sponsored by Freshman and Sophomore Council. Open to children ages 10 and younger. There is a $1 entry. The funds raised will go to Romeoville High School students and families in need.

Catapult a Pumpkin - Shred Documents & Recycle Electronics
Saturday, November 5, 2022, 9:00 a.m.  – 12:00 p.m.
Lewis University – Parking Lot South of the main entrance, 1 University Pkwy.
Will County and Lewis University have partnered to offer the annual Will County collection of pumpkins for recycling. Students, parents, and residents are encouraged to pitch their pumpkins and gourds to see whose pumpkin goes the furthest!! Document destruction will also be offered. Naked Pumpkins Only! No candles, bags or boxes! Limit of five pumpkins per person.
