[ARCHIVED] Notice of Protest

NOTICE OF PROTEST NF

The Village of Romeoville has been in contact with the organizers of the protest scheduled for Saturday, June 6th from noon-4PM at the corner of Airport and Weber Roads. While the organizers are not from Romeoville, they have been very cooperative. The goal of both parties is to keep everyone safe. We will support everyone’s First Amendment right and allow for peaceful demonstrations while keeping our community safe.

We understand there is a great deal of concern within the community considering recent escalated violence around the area. The Romeoville Police will be providing extra patrol and will be monitoring the event with the organizers to quickly identify those creating a negative environment. Citizens’ rights are of the utmost importance and our goal is to ensure the safety of everyone involved.

Any questions regarding the protest can be directed to the Romeoville Police at 815-886-7219.
