BALLET II

This class is for those who were previously enrolled in a ballet class, learned the basics and are prepared to take their ballet to the next level.

DANCE RECITAL

A recital will be held on Saturday, August 7, on the stage at Deer Crossing Park. Full details will be announced at a later date. Class fee includes recital t-shirt! 

HIP HOP & POMS

This class teaches the techniques necessary for both Hip Hop and Poms. Hip Hop is today’s “street style” dance form as seen on MTV and music videos. Poms is similar but with some more specific moves that can be applied when trying out for school teams. The goal is to increase musicality, body awareness, and rhythm. It is done to current, popular music that the kids and teens enjoy. The studio uses common sense with song content and age-appropriateness.

CLASS POLICIES

BATHROOM BREAKS: 

Take children to the bathroom before class; teachers cannot leave class to take children to the bathroom.

DRESS CODE FOR GIRLS: 

Ballet - leotard, tights, ballet shoes; Jazz - leotard or tank top, tights or leggings, jazz shoes; Tap - leotard or tank top, tights or leggings, tap shoes; Hip Hop - comfortable clothing, gym shoes; no jeans.

DRESS CODE FOR BOYS: 

T-shirt & athletic shorts and appropriate shoes for each class. Ballet - ballet shoes; Jazz - jazz shoes; Tap - tap shoes; Hip Hop - gym shoes.Shorts with t-shirt tucked in. No zippers or buckles.

MAKE-UP POLICY: 

All classes that are cancelled by the Recreation Department will be made up at the end of the session.  There are no individual make up classes offered.
