Community Policing
A fundamental philosophy of the Romeoville Police Department is to reduce crime by enhancing our relationship with the citizens we serve. One way of working toward our common goal of crime reduction is to maintain easy communication access to the Police Department by our residents. All Police Agencies rely on information given to them to investigate crimes. To enhance this communication effort, we are offering a method by which residents can communicate via email directly and confidentially. By clicking on the below link you can send an email directly to the Police Department. The contents of your email will be kept confidential. If you will be supplying information to assist us with an investigation, we ask that you be as specific as possible. We may re-contact you via email for clarification of information provided. If you are filing a complaint regarding an issue that is in progress DO NOT use this email link. Call the Police Department directly at 815-886-7219, or if it is an emergency, dial 911.
The Romeoville Police Department has implemented an anonymous tip line. Please call 815-328-5205 if you have information in regards to a crime. Please leave a message with as much information as possible. This voice mail will be checked by Department command staff only. Do not use this phone number if you are requesting police assistance. Call 911 if you have an emergency or 815-886-7219 if your call is not an emergency.
