Adopt-A-Park

This program was instituted so that local youth organizations work with the Recreation Department in the upkeep and maintenance of the Recreation Department throughout the Village. The Recreation Department will supply a sign at each adopted park with the name of the organization adopting that particular park. Each organization will spend one day a month accomplishing the required work during the months of March through October. The Recreation will also supply the necessary supplies for the upkeep of the parks.

Park Watch

Park Watch was created to create safe and enjoyable parks throughout Romeoville by empowering the residents to take ownership and pride in the park system. Park Watch gets neighbors to be the eyes and ears of the park for the Police and the Recreation Department.

Recently the Romeoville Recreation Department sponsored summer cookouts at neighborhood parks in the Romeoville community. All neighbors around the park were invited to attend the cookout and learn about the park Watch Program, park renovation, and park safety. Participants enjoyed a lunch provided by the Recreation Department and received a "free" Park Watch T-Shirt.
