How your car can help save a life!
Want to get a tax deduction for that clunker sitting in your driveway that you’ve wanted to get rid of? The Romeoville Fire Department has the answer for you. The Department’s Training Division is always seeking donated vehicles. The vehicles are used for hands-on real-world training in rescuing people trapped in vehicles from car accidents.
Vehicles can be donated in any condition. Vehicles can either be dropped off at the Fire Department or they can arrange to have it towed at no cost to you. Your vehicle donation is tax deductible, usually up to the amount of the “Blue Book” value regardless of the vehicle’s condition. All that is required is you must have a valid title for the vehicle. For information, please contact Diane at 815-886-7231.
