Will County Sheriff’s TRIAD for Seniors – Health, Technology, and Safety Event

The Will County Sheriff’s TRIAD for Seniors has partnered with the local police, library, & parks serving Crest Hill, Lockport, and Romeoville to bring you a Health, Technology, & Safety Event. A variety of vendors and organizations relating to the needs of seniors will provide handouts, programs, and assistance on a variety of topics – health, technology, safety, and scams. Enjoy light refreshment. Walk away with giveaways.

Isle a la Cache Museum presents "Busy Beaver's Craft Club"

Harvest Saturday Food Drive
Saturday, November 17, 2018, 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
Sponsored by St. Andrew the Apostle Catholic Church, Church of High Point, United Presbyterian Church and The Rock Church. Please place your food donation in plastic bags outside your front door by 11:00 a.m. Pick-up is from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Or feel free to bring it to the drop off at St. Andrew the Apostle on the Corner of Kingston and Arlington in Romeoville. If you would like to donate items, but won't be home that day, you may drop it off at the following locations from 11/10-11/16:
• Romeoville Village Hall, 1050 W. Romeo Rd.
• Romeoville Fire Department Station #1, 18 Montrose Dr.
• Romeoville Fire Department Station #3, 698 N. Birch Lane
• Romeoville Recreation Department, 900 W. Romeo Rd.

White Oak Library presents "Dating Over 50: Have Fun - Be Safe"

Join us on the last Friday of every month for a fun-filled night. Dating at any age can be daunting, but even more so for those of us over 50. Make room on your wall for your very own masterpiece! Professional artist Crystal Simpelo, founder of Crystal’s Canvas, will show you how to make “art from the heart,” using Isle a la Cache as your muse. Canvases and paints will be provided.This program is perfect for beginners with step-by-step instructions. Give yourself a break, get creative and come celebrate the weekend with others. To get those creative juices flowing, participants are invited to bring their own wine to sip during the program.
