At the March 21st Village Board meeting, the Board gave final approval for the new Holiday Inn Express and Suites. The hotel will be a four story, 96 room building with meeting space.
“Each year, hundreds of thousands of visitors come to Romeoville,” pointed out Mayor John Noak. “Whether it be for graduations or campus visits, sporting tournaments, or work related purposes, these people need places to stay. This new Holiday Inn will give them another option in Romeoville. Hotels are a great addition to the community as it helps market other sites for development such as restaurants and entertainment.”
Located off Normantown Road between Crème De La Crème and Bowlero, Holiday Inn Express and Suites will feature a pool, meeting rooms, fitness center, business center, and breakfast/lounge space.
The Village Board also reviewed a Concept Plan for the new LDD Business Center located west of IL Route 53, just north of the IL 53 and the Joliet Road intersection. The new nearly 24,000 s.f. center will concentrate on small businesses. The development consists of up to 13 small to medium size office/light industrial condos. This will continue the trend of new development along the Route 53 Corridor.
