As construction continues on Franconi's Grocery, Fat Ricky's Restaurant and the Uptown Square Retail Center, the Village Board plans for more parking to accommodate area visitors.
The Village Board authorized funds for the demolition of the car wash located at 17 Alexander which will temporarily be used for overflow parking. Demolition is anticipated to begin within two weeks.
"Due to the success at the Edward Hospital Athletic and Event Center, more retail and the added special events, this additional parking will help accommodate more visitors," said Mayor Noak.
Completion of both retail buildings is anticipated for September.
