Kimberly-Clark received the 2009 Edie Award by the Illinois Chamber of Commerce and Illinois Economic Development Association for their 750,000-square-foot distribution center in the ProLogis Park 55 Development in Romeoville.
The Edie Awards are given to recognize economic development projects throughout Illinois.
Kimberly-Clark began construction in Romeoville in 2006 with the lease of 805,912 square feet in the ProLogis Park 55 Development. With an immediate need for expansion, they leased another 350,000 square feet in the Windham Lakes Southwest Quad development and finalized their expansion needs with the award winning distribution site in Park 55. With a total of 1.9 million square feet of distribution facilities and employing over 200 people, Kimberly Clark continues to be one of the largest distributors in Romeoville.
