Come out for a free family day on Saturday, October 5, 2019 from 9:00 a.m. to Noon at 524 Belmont Dr. that includes family friendly activities and presentations. All activities are outdoor, so please dress for the weather.
• Stewardship – Removing non-native brush from the woodland edge to improve the ecological health of O’Hara Woods.
• Health & Wellness – Illustrating how getting out into nature and making healthy lifestyle choices can benefit your health via guided hikes, healthy recipes from The Conservation Foundation’s Green Earth Harvest Program, and additional educational materials.
• Conservation at Home – Highlighting earth-friendly choices you can make at your own home such as creating native gardens, earth-friendly landscaping, and utilizing rain barrels.
• Water Resources - Educating others on our area’s water resources and how we can take care of them with several family friendly activities.
