American Family Care presented a concept plan for a new urgent care facility near the intersection of Weber and Renwick Roads, just south of the McDonald’s. The 3,500 square foot building would be reached via the access road that runs behind the property.
The U-Haul project is also moving forward. U-Haul was approved for a new 46,0000 square foot facility, complete with 626 rental lockers and an area for truck and trailer rentals. The 3.3 acre site is located northeast of Weber Road and Gaskin Drive.
“The Weber Road corridor continues to attract a variety of development,” said Mayor John Noak. “We continue to have a lot of interest along this corridor and anticipate additional development announcements coming soon.”
Other projects along this route include The Holiday Inn Express & Suites just off Normantown, renovations to the McDonald’s near the Weber & Normantown intersection, and the new Jiffy Lube to be built near Aldi at Airport & Normantown. The urgent care center, U-Haul storage facility, and Jiffy Lube should begin construction this summer. McDonald’s should be complete by mid-July and the Holiday Inn should be opening this Fall.
