The latest Village Board Meeting took on a celebratory tone as two great community members were recognized for their longevity.
Irene King Elementary School, formerly called Ridge View Elementary, recently celebrated its 50th anniversary. They held a party at the school in August, inviting back alumni and members of the community to join them for tours of the school, a parade, a touch a truck event, and free food, including cake and ice cream.
Also celebrating during the evening was the Golden Age Club. The group, which meets at the Recreation Center, was recognized for 40 years of activities and fun for those over 50.
