Progress continues for two new commercial developments in Romeoville: the Dog Haus restaurant and Joe’s Beverage Warehouse liquor store. Concept plans for Dog Haus were reviewed at the last board meeting and recommendations were made to the company for the next round of plans. While Dog Haus submitted initial plans, Joe’s Beverage Warehouse submitted final plans, which were approved, for their 10,620 square foot liquor store to be constructed next to the Romeoville Express Car Wash on Route 53. They will also construct a neighboring 3,900 square foot building that will be available for retailers.
“The business and development of Romeoville continues to grow,” noted Mayor John Noak. “We’re turning vacant land into economic drivers: Jobs, food, drinks… The progress continues.”
These projects continue the economic evolution of Romeoville. Most recently, Bee Brothers restaurant moved into and renovated the former Applebee’s location on Weber Rd. while a Checkers restaurant is currently being constructed on the site of the old Laser Car Wash on Route 53.
