Emergency Medical Technician (EMT-B)
Our EMT course is fully compliant with the standards set forth by the Illinois De-partment of Public Health utilizing the new 2013 updated curriculum. Upon completion of the course and the state exam, students will be licensed as an Illinois EMT. All classroom topics will be reinforced by extensive hands-on skills that will give the students the confidence to perform as a pre-hospital care-giver. Students will also be required to complete clinical time in a hospital emergency department and in-field ride time on Romeoville Fire Dept. ambulances. An advantage to our course is that students do not have to pay a per credit hour fee as with most community colleges making our course a financially sensible choice. Healthcare Provider CPR course is included in the program. All textbooks are included in the course tuition. For classes 1016 & 0417 class meets every Monday & Thursday evenings 6 pm – 10 pm. For class 0217 class meets every Saturday from 8 am—5 pm.
